Subject: The our customer's questions that D1 must respond on 4/12/2009 time 2 PM.
Dear Alex
Today D1's team taught our customer about XS Pro-1000. They have
some questions that
they would like to know.
1. Flow rate of XS Pro-1000 and SmartId? I mean that how many
persons that pass XS Pro
-1000 or SmartId per minute?
XID> For XS Pro-1000 the flow rate will be around 7 pax per minute. For SmartID, the flow rate is up to 12 pax per minute.
2.The value of XS Pro-1000 fault acceptance rate(FAR) and the value
of XS Pro-1000 fault rejection rate(FRR)?
XID> The value of FAR and FRR depends on many parameters, such as the security threshold, the environment conditions (lighting) and the users (training). In controlled testing conditions we can have FRR less than 5% and FAR less than 0,1%.
3. If a door was destroyed, please explain me in the detail steps
that our system is alert and alarmed.
XID> If the EM at the door is forced and open, then the controller will report "Door Forced Open". Also if the WMU is broken or destroyed, the controller will report "No Video" and "Wall Mount Error". However if there is another type of intrusion such as breaking the door glass or breaking the door without breaking the XID system, then we cannot know. In that case it is recommended to integrate our system with CCTV camera and Alarm Intrusion system.
4. When user stand in front of the camera which be putted in wall
mount unit,a live
face picture will move from the camera to database at access
controller box. How many
bytes of the live face picture is moving because they would like to
know about the
bandwidth?
XID> Between the WMU and Controller, we use analog video cable hence there is no data communication. Between the Controller and a Central Database the size of a record is 60kb per record.
5. That I know,Almost all Thai companys have already had Wiegand
access controller.
So the good solution is that we should sell XS Pro-1000 and
integrating between XS pro-
1000 and Wiegand access controller. Is it posible if Wiegand get the
data from XS Pro-1000
,analyze the data and command xs pro-1000 to open the door?
XID> Yes. This is possible by using and additional SmartID interface board between the XS Pro-1000 controller and Wiegand Controller. This also requires some additional integration/customization.
6. Is it posible if we relocate all database from XID access
controller to Wiegand
database?
XID> Yes. This is possible but requires some additional integration/customization/validation. The Wiegand database must contain the XID DB schema structure.
7. Do you have an experience about integrating between XS Pro-1000
and existing access
controller? I mean that event is happened in Singapore.
XID> Yes we have already integrated with existing controller. It requires some integration and customization. We have done it for KANTEC, TYCO and UNIVISION.
8. For economy,Do you have a new type of access controller box that
take care more than
2 wall mount units(maybe 3 or 4 wall mount units)?
XID> Yes. The new Access Pro Controller Premium will be available in 2010 and will host 3 WMU.
9. If the mysql database or the network lan is be damaged,do you
know the solution that
users can access? In my view point,a company's staff have to press the
door open button
or using an emergency key switch.
XID> Yes. In case of Controller or WMU failure we recommend proceeding as follow:
From the inside we recommend to install the fire break glass switch. The switch will be broken to release the door in case of controller failure.
From the outside we recommend to install an emergency key switch.
10 Do you have the report about the first entry and the last exit?
If the answer is
no,can we input the criteria for extracting the required data.
XID> Yes. The entry and exit time is available in the reporting system. Note that it is necessary that user tap the card on exit to get the time (turnstiles). If user use the exit push button we don’t know the time (or we need to use the card reader same as anti-pass back).
Best regards,
Alex
Thank you very much for your good support.
Best wishes

XID Technology
Predictive Face synthesis enables the real-time generation of thousands of face images from a single 2D picture, enabling any 2D face recognition system to function in uncontrolled environments and reduces significantly their equal error rate. The synthesizer can be upgraded, anytime, with additional simulation models.
Conventional face recognition systems often fail in real world deployments due to poor sensitivity to changing light conditions, changes of facial pose and facial artifacts (beard, glasses etc) resulting in high error rates that render the systems unsuitable in uncontrolled conditions.
XID's unique, patented, award winning predictive face synthesis technology overcomes these problems and enables face recognition systems to function in uncontrolled environments. From one 2D image, a multitude of images are automatically synthesized to enrich the reference information available for a face recognition engine and thus, considerably enhance its performance.

Audit Tail
Audit records typically result from activities such as transactions or communications by individual people, systems, accounts or other entities.
Webopedia defines an audit trail as "a record showing who has accessed a computer system and what operations he or she has performed during a given period of time." ([1])
In telecommunication, the term means a record of both completed and attempted accesses and service, or data forming a logical path linking a sequence of events, used to trace the transactions that have affected the contents of a record.
In information or communications security, information audit means a chronological record of system activities to enable the reconstruction and examination of the sequence of events and/or changes in an event.
In nursing research, it refers to the act of maintaining a running log or journal of decisions relating to a research project, thus making clear the steps taken and changes made to the original protocol.
In accounting, it refers to documentation of detailed transactions supporting summary ledger entries. This documentation may be on paper or electronic records.
The process that creates audit trail should always run in a privileged mode, so it could access and supervise all actions from all users, and normal user could not stop/change it. Furthermore, for the same reason, trail file or database table with a trail should not be accessible to normal users.
In what relates to audit trail, it is also very much important to take into consideration the liability issues of your audit trails, as many times in case of dispute, these audit trails can work as an evidence for some incident.
For Microsoft Dynamics GP users, Audit Trails provides track, trace and reporting capabilities for any changes associated with any data in Microsoft Dynamics GP, and for any data in third-party software or customized software resident within Dynamics GP.
The software can operate with the closed-looped controls, or as a 'closed system,' as required by many companies when using an Audit Trail system.
